The man accused of stealing rings from a woman who died at the Grady Memorial Hosptial emergency room is also a suspect in the theft of jewelry from another patient.

Ron Goyette's wedding ring and a necklace disappeared after he was taken to Grady's ER after a serious car crash.

"I just assumed it had gotten cut off because he hand was so swollen," Ron's wife Melissa told WSB-TV Channel 2 reporter Jeff Dore.

When Melissa saw Channel 2's stories about the arrest of Tacuma Jarawa in connection with the theft of a wedding ring and engagement ring from Katherine Armstrong she recognized Jarawa.

"I just said 'That's him,'" she explained.

Police found Ron Goyette's ring and necklace in an Atlanta pawn shop. Officers returned them to Goyette on Tuesday. The Goyettes were reduced to tears.

"We've been through the ringer," said Melissa Goyette. Her husband continues to recover from his injuries.

Jarawa is out on bond charged with felony theft in the Armstrong case. Police said they will rearrest and charge him with the theft of Goyette's jewelry.
