A cold front will mix with moisture across the state to produce showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon.

"There is a slight risk area of some of those storms being severe," according to WSB-TV Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton.

The biggest hazards will be from large hail and damaging winds.

A wind advisory is in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Winds will be from the west around 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph possible.
