Philadelphia, PA -- (Sports Network) - Cole Hamels went the distance for his first career shutout and the Philadelphia Phillies launched three home runs in defeating the Atlanta Braves 5-0 in the rubber match of a three-game series at Citizens Bank Park.

Hamels (5-3) allowed only four hits and two walks, striking out six. He retired 16 of the first 17 batters including 15 straight for Philadelphia, which is 5-5 in its last 10 games.

Ryan Howard, Pedro Feliz and Shane Victorino all homered for the Phillies in the win.

Atlanta starter Chuck James (2-3) surrendered five runs on six hits and five walks in just four innings.

Brian McCann, Jeff Francoeur, Omar Infante and Gregor Blanco collected the four hits for Atlanta, which is also 5-5 in its last 10 games.

Philadelphia struck first in the second with a Feliz leadoff homer to left.

The Phillies got back on the board in the third with a towering home run to dead center from Howard. Burrell then walked and James let loose a wild pitch moving him to second.

Werth flied out for the second out, but Feliz drilled a ball off the very top of the fence in left plating a run. Feliz was held to a single on the play and Chris Coste flied out to end the inning.

Philadelphia was back to business in the fourth with a two-run homer from Victorino, making it 5-0.

Coste doubled to lead off the sixth but was thrown out by left fielder Matt Diaz trying to tag from third on a Jimmy Rollins fly ball.

McCann doubled with two out in the seventh but would not advance. McCann was the only runner to advance as far as second base for the Braves.

Francoeur singled to start the ninth, but Mark Teixeira smoked a double-play ground ball right at Rollins who had to fall backwards to field the ball. Hamels struck out McCann swinging to end the game.
