Three Rockdale County high school students were killed after their car crashed into a ravine over the weekend.

Police said Naijah Glover, 17, Derron Anderson, 18, and Torrence Blount, 20, were killed when their Dodge Neon lost control, skidded off the road and crashed into a ravine.

  • The accident happened either late Friday or early Saturday morning. The vehicle was discovered around noon Saturday off of Highway 20 at Wilder Way. Authorities said an off-duty police officer found the car after noticing a set of skid marks on the roadway. All three were students at Salem High School in Conyers.

A moment of silence was held at the school Monday. Students told Channel 2 they were devastated by the sudden losses.

“I already know that I’m going to be crying hard. A lot of us are,” said classmate Leela Cook.

Grief counselors were brought in to help students deal with the loss.
