Live Grenade Found Outside Convenience Store

A live grenade was found Thursday morning in a trash can outside a Floyd County convenience store.

Police told WSB-TV Channel 2 reporter Ross Cavitt the explosive was outside a store on Highway 20 in the Coosa community.

The Floyd County Sheriff's Office bomb squad was called out and discovered the grenade was live and could explode. They took it to a disposal area and blew it up.
