Baby's Body Found At Fulton Office Park

Workers at a south Fulton County office park made a disturbing discovery Thursday, the body of a newborn stuffed inside a plastic bag.

The baby was found at the Camp Creek Business Center.

"The baby was full term and the umbilical cord was still attached," said East Point Police Officer Clifford Chandler.

The workers first thought they had found the body of an animal, but when they opened the bag they realized it was an infant inside. Police told WSB-TV Channel 2 reporter John Cater the baby is either African-American or Latino.

Investigators hope an autopsy will tell them if the baby died at the scene or was already dead when it was left at the office park.

"We do know the baby was alive for some time," said Chandler.

Police are asking anyone with information in the case call them at 404-559-6283.
