STOCKBRIDGE -- A suspected drunk driver hit and killed a teenaged boy walking along a Henry County road Sunday morning.

Joseph White, 16, died after being run down on the shoulder of Old Conyers Road in Stockbridge.

Larry Anthony Cooper, 35, was arrested at the scene and charged with DUI, vehicular homicide and failure to maintain lane.

Witnesses said Cooper broke down at the scene.

"He was crying, he was devastated," said Kristi Green.

White attended Faith Academy in Stockbridge, according to police.
