Dog Saves Jogger During Assault

POSTED: 6:29 am EDT October 23, 2007
UPDATED: 12:18 pm EDT October 24, 2007

Gwinnett County police are calling a dog a hero after he saved his owner from an attack at a park.

Police say the woman was jogging in Tribble Mill Park two weeks ago.

A man approached her and shoved her against a tree, where he groped her.

That's when her yellow Labrador retriever, Jack, came to the rescue. He jumped on the man and chomped on his leg.

The attacker ran away.

The woman was okay.

No arrests have been been made.
