Blank: Falcons Won't Cut Vick

Posted: 12:47 pm EDT August 27, 2007Updated: 1:58 pm EDT August 27, 2007

The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday they have demanded millions in bonus money back from convicted felon Michael Vick.

They also announced they would not cut Vick from the team at this time.

Speculation has been that the team would try to recoup up to $22 million from Vick.

Rich McKay, Falcons president and general manager, said at a news conference that the team sent a letter Monday to Vick demanding he return the money to the team.

McKay did not reveal how much money the team want Vick to repay.

At the same news conference Arthur Blank, owner and CEO of the team, said they will keep Vick on the roster, even though he has been suspended by the league.

"We cannot tell you today that Michael is cut from the team," Blank said.
