Atlanta police say they continue to arrest men seeking other men for sexual favors in Hartsfield-Jackson Airport bathrooms.

A South Carolina pediatrician was in court Tuesday and said he is innocent.

Officials said they have made at least 50 bathroom sex arrests since December.

Police said Dr. Luis Marti exposed himself and then tried to solicit two undercover officers. The doctor said that is not true.

“I am very concerned because I feel I am innocent of these charges,” said Marti in court Tuesday. “I want to contact my son because he has a friend who is a lawyer here and I might have to use (him,)” Marti said.

Marti is a pediatrician from South Carolina and he is one of at least eight men officers have arrested for public indecency or other sex-related offenses in Hartsfield-Jackson Airport bathrooms in the past week and a half.

Undercover police say they noticed Marti watching other men inside the West crossover bathroom.

Marti joins a list of prominent men arrested at the airport. A Spelman professor, the former chairman of the board that oversees MARTA, a North Carolina professor and a businessman from Louisiana. The cases have received national attention.

Marti received a $2,000 bond.
