Posted: 10:58 am EDT May 18, 2007Updated: 12:29 pm EDT May 18, 2007

An animal shelter in New York is looking for a home for three Chihuahua puppies born without front legs.

Pablo, Carmen and Venus are active and playful, according to officials at the North Shore Animal League America.

The trio came to the shelter from a breeder in Virginia.

The puppies were part of a litter of five. The other two pups were born with all four legs.

Pablo, Carmen and Venus are going through physical therapy to learn to walk on their back legs.

Shelter officials hope to find a home that will adopt all three together.
