Deadly Car vs Train Accident

SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- One woman is dead and another is in the hospital after a fatal train accident in South Fulton County.

According to authorities the crossing bars were coming down when the driver tried to beat the approaching CSX train.

The impact dragged the car 162ft.

The passenger was killed and the driver airlifted to the hospital.

Authorities also say the crossing bars and flashing lights were properly working at the intersection of Roosevelt Highway and Rock Hill Road when the collision occurred.
