Vick Faces Trespassing Charge

Posted: 12:27 pm EDT April 26, 2007

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is facing trespassing charges over an afternoon of fishing.

Vick is scheduled to appear in Suffolk General District Court Thursday.

He was charged with trespassing after fishing in the Western Branch Lake in February, according to the Hampton Roads Daily Press.

The hearing won't happen if Vick pays a fine. It wasn't paid as of Wednesday afternoon, according to an online courts document.

Vick was issued a summons through the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries for trespassing to hunt, fish or trap - a class three misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500.
