Man Crushed To Death At Construction Site

Police say a heavy piece of construction equipment has crushed a man to death at a construction site in Gwinnett County.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The construction site is located on Richland Creek Road in Buford.

Officials say a 63-year-old man was killed while assisting in loading a piece of heavy equipment when the equipment fell. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

OSHA will be conducting an investigation.

The man's identity has not yet been released pending the notification of family.

There are no other injuries reported.
