A crowd of more than 125,000 turned out Thanksgiving night for the lighting of the Great Tree at Macy's at Lenox Square.

The event featured live musical performances, fireworks and other surprises, all leading up to the annual lighting of the tree.

Performers at the event included LeAnn Rimes, Third Day, American Idol finalist George Huff and the Macy's All-Star Choir.

It was the 59th annual lighting of the tree at Macy's. The event was moved to Lenox Square after the downtown Atlanta Macy's was closed.
