Speedy Delivery: Georgia Dad Ticketed On Way To Witness Wife Deliver Quads

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- A Gwinnett County man had to drive 450 miles -- in a hurry -- when he learned his wife was about to deliver quadruplets.Eddie Oliver III was working in Mississippi when his wife, Antoinette, went into labor at Gwinnett Medical Center.

Dad did make it for the birth and was grateful for help from OnStar, as well as some police escorts. He wasn't lucky in one state, however."A personal thanks to the Mississippi and Georgia highway patrols for covering me as I was driving from Mississippi to Georgia. And as for Alabama, I guess I'll see you on March fifth," said Oliver, who received a speeding ticket in Alabama.Eddie IV, Elijah, Armani and Amanda Oliver were born safely and their mom is now resting comfortably.The girls are fraternal twins and the boys are identical twins.The parents are still getting used to being parents, but Dad couldn't be happier.

"She's a super woman, I guess that is the best way to say it. She brought four beautiful babies into the world and I can't be more proud and pleased than I am of her," said Oliver.The Oliver quadruplets are the second set of quads born at the Gwinnett Medical Center in eight years.
