Tip: Garbanzo Beans

Garbanzo beans are sometimes called chickpeas, ceci beans, or Spanish beans. They are nut-like in flavor and similar to hazelnuts in shape and size. Cooking dried beans from scratch requires hours of soaking and hours of cooking; canned beans are a good alternative.
Paulette Mitchell, a culinary instructor, television personality, spokesperson, freelance food writer, and the award-winning author of 13 cookbooks, is known internationally for her quick-to-prepare recipes with gourmet flair.
