NCAA Tournament’s South regional could set up Florida-Georgetown sequel

By Jason Lieser

The Palm Beach Post

Florida will start the NCAA tournament as a No. 3 seed in the South region. The Gators begin Friday against 14th-seeded Northwestern State in Austin, Texas.

If UF advances, it would get the winner of 6-seed UCLA vs. 11-seed Minnesota on Sunday.

More interesting than that, though, is the possibility of drawing Georgetown the next week in the regional semifinals at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The teams tried to open the season in November aboard the USS Bataan in Mayport, but the game ended at halftime due to condensation on the court.
