It's a tough, and obviously intense, job, but someone's gotta do it! Lady Gaga's longtime stylist Nicola Formichetti revealed in an interview with Women's Wear Daily that while he hasn't cut ties with the singer, he is way too busy to keep up with Lady Gaga's meatdress-wearing, egg-emerging-from style.
"She's going to be my BFF forever," he says, adding that he's "always going to be involved somehow."
"I'm too busy," he explains, "I've done two albums with her, it's been like five years."
"She changes 12 times a day; it's insane," he adds.
This means Nicola was behind-the-scenes for a ton of Gaga's most iconic moments, like the meat dress, the enviably gigantic collection of "Bad Romance" outfits and hairdos, and the entire Monster tour. Dude has put in his time!
So what are his other projects that are keeping him so busy? In addition being named artistic director at Diesel in April, he's giving a lot of focus to his title as creative fashion director for Uniqlo.
Nicola's old assistant Brandon Maxwell will be taking over, and with ARTPOP coming out in November, he'll have his work cut out for him.
