Understand what life was like for an enslaved person in this special school program. Travel to the Smith Family Farm to experience how a farm worked during the 1860s. Meet Harriett Tubman and learn about her life and how she helped enslaved people escape to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Hear inspirational songs and moving stories from the time. Hands-on activities and self-guided gallery tours are also included.Most of this event is outdoors; please dress appropriately. In case of heavy rain, the program is performed indoors. Please note: some activities in the program are not wheelchair accessible.
