9pm / FREE / 21+ Brought to you by 529 Act Rights are an Austin based band that was formed at the dawn of 2010 as somewhat of a new years resolution. What started out as renditions of songs by artists ranging from Junior Wells to the Sonics soon became something much more. The quartet consisting of Colton May, Ajit D'Brass, Charlie Cruz and Will Wolfe hit the studio with producer/drummer for White Denim (Josh Block) in Feb of 2011 for their self-titled 5 track EP released on Backslider Records. Act Rights, now in their second year as a band, have prided themselves on stepping out of the comfort zone of one specific washed out genre and began creating an interesting blend of musical styles that will appeal to most anyone when given a listen. They are currently touring in support of their new album on Tonequake Records, mastered by the Grammy-winning Andrew Scheps.
