Immerse yourself in the food and culture of your favorite destination, Italy! Get a recap from Florens 2012, learn about the Italian community in Atlanta, and enjoy the cuisine of southern Italy. Sucheta Rawal, founder of Go Eat Give recently won a bloggers contest organized by Fondazione Florence and was invited to Florence, Italy as part of Team Florens 2012, where Go Eat Give was named "one of the most influential blogs on culture in the world." She attended the Biannual Florence Culture and Heritage week where speakers from all around the world gathered to discuss economy, cultural preservation and business. Sucheta will be sharing her insights from Florens 2012. Our special speaker for the evening is Arturo Giancarlo Pirrone. Atlanta based architect and philantropist, Giancarlo, is originally from Palermo, Italy, partner in the real estate investment firm, Ansley Partners LLC, and president of the Italian conversation club, Ciancia. He will speak to us about Italian food and culture. Through Ciancia, Giancarlo has promoted the use of Italian language in the U.S. while furthering the knowledge of literature, cuisine, visual arts, architecture and cinematography.
