Streep, Kline Playing 'Prairie Home' At Hollywood Bowl

Madsen, Reilly Also Reuniting With Keillor To Tape Radio Show

Garrison Keillor is traveling across the prairies of Minnesota to Los Angeles to reunite with his "Prairie Home" movie companions.

Keillor, the creator and star of the hit syndicated radio show, will be in LA Friday night to tape "A Prairie Home Companion" show at the Hollywood Bowl. The show will air Saturday night on public radio stations nationwide and beyond.

Keillor will be joined at the show by several cast members of the upcoming movie version of "A Prairie Home Companion," including Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, John C. Reilly and Virginia Madsen.

"Prairie" radio and movie performers Tim Russell, Sue Scott and Rich Dworsky's Guy's All-Star Band, will also be on hand for the Hollywood Bowl show.

Keillor has been staging "A Prairie Home Companion" for radio for more than 30 years.

Today the show plays on 580 public radio stations nationwide, with a weekly audience that tops 4.3 million listeners.

"A Prairie Home Companion" also plays on the Armed Forces Network Europe, the Far East Network, and in dozens of European cities via the Astra satellite network.

Directed by Robert Altman and also starring Lindsay Lohan, Lily Tomlin, Woody Harrelson, Maya Rudolph and Tommy Lee Jones, "A Prairie Home Companion" opens in theaters nationwide June 9.
