Building A Dream…with local foster care charities. Right here in our community, there are children, in the foster care system, that need your help. We've selected three notable local charities that will benefit from our charity home tour. They are working hard everyday to build the dreams of local foster care children.

The Bridge, Inc.
For 36 years, The Bridge has worked with teens that have faced emotional and sexual abuse. They have a high success rate by focusing on treatment, teaching life skills, and where possible – reconnecting the kids with family members.
Help The Bridge today by being a part of the Recycled Stars for Hope program. Your gently used CD's, DVD's, and Video Games will help The Bridge turn entertainment media into cash which supports programs for the kids.
Do you have dinner plans for tonight? Become a member of The Bridge's Dining Club and dine at participating restaurants who will pass on a portion of their profits to The Bridge.

Childkind, Inc.
Childkind has a substantial track record with placing children in foster care who are medically fragile. These children are at high risk of growing up in a hospital or nursing home environment. The child's special needs require exceptional foster care families.
On average, a child who spends just one month in a hospital will cost the state $42,000. Childkind foster families are able to care and support these children at a cost of only $5,100 per month. Cost of a family's love and attention: priceless.
Empower Childkind by donating money or supplies today. Take part in a special day for these medically fragile children at their Annual Kids Fest on June 17, 2006 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St Pius X Catholic High School Stadium. Individuals and businesses are needed to sponsor games, food, shirts, and of course – party hats!

CHRIS Kids, Inc
Children with severe emotional disabilities find a home with CHRIS Kids. With their group homes and independent living programs, they rebuild every child's spirit and turn them into young adults, ready for a successful life.
Often these kids have their hardest time during the summer months, without the structure that schools provide. CHRIS Kids found the answer with Camp CHRIS – the camp you can't get kicked out of! This camp provides a safe and productive environment, designed to focus a child's energy with positive activities. They even sneak in a little education!
Support CHRIS Kids today with a monetary donation.
