Atlanta faith leaders come together to sign manifesto

Nearly 100 community leaders have a New Year's resolution to affirm religious freedom, diversity and interfaith cooperation. The movement comes in the form of the Atlanta Interfaith Manifesto which is a statement denouncing religious bigotry and calls for interfaith cooperation. It was inspired by the same spirit that made Atlanta a leading city for civil and human rights 60 years ago.

Nonprofit teaches self-defense and safety techniques

Revved Up Kids offers programs for children, teens adults and youth-serving organizations. The nonprofit aims to empower children to defend themselves against predators and violent attackers.

Free Family Festival at Woodruff Arts Center

The Woodruff Arts Center is hosting a free family festival Sunday, January 8 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Midtown. Families are invited to explore, play, learn and create art in an interactive, family-friendly environment. Registration is requested.
