Communities in Schools

Communities in Schools' mission is to "surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life". The nonprofit serves 1.5 million students at 2,300 sites across the United States. The CIS success model relies on site coordinators, local businesses, social service agencies and medical providers as well as volunteers to serve the students.
