Russell Simmons challenges Atlanta leaders

United Way of Greater Atlanta's American Partnership Program welcomed Russell Simmons to speak to members during a recent Leadership Luncheon. Topics ranged from philanthropy, to business and health. The AAP was launched in 2000 to engage underrepresented members of United Way giving societies. In 2015, members donated more than $2.2 million to the United Way of Greater Atlanta.

Wholesome Wave Georgia hosts picnic fundraiser

There are currently 60 participating farmers markets supported by Wholesome Wave's Georgia Fresh for Less program. To support the work of the nonprofit, the public is invited to purchase tickets for a Picnic in the Park on Sunday May 7.
