Urban Nutcracker is a contemporary African American interpretation of the traditional Nutcracker, choreographed by co-founder Waverly T. Lucas II. Set on Auburn Avenue in the 1940's, Urban Nutcracker in its entirety includes a multicultural cast of professional ballet dancers and over seventy urban and minority youth. Urban Nutcracker presents a glimpse of an important part of Atlanta's history, while providing unique entertainment.
