Meteorologist Profile

From Meteorologist Karen Minton:

A number of flood warning continue for area creeks and streams today, plus there is a flood watch for the north Georgia mountains until this evening. A fog advisory is in effect until 11:00 am, after that time the front should start pushing in showers and some thunderstorms that will push the low clouds and fog out of the area. Winds could be a problem today as the front moves in so there is a wind advisory until 5pm for the mountain counties for winds of 20-30 mph and gusts to 35 mph. It is going to be a busy weather day, so check this sight often for changes, and use the interactive radar to track storms headed your way. Don't forget...this is the weekend to set your clocks AHEAD one hour! We go to Day Light Saving Time on Sunday at 2:00 am.

Today: Shower and thunderstorms likely, there's a threat for strong wind and hail from late morning through the afternoon. High in the low to mid 60s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers possible. Low in the mid 40s, high in the mid 50s.

Sunday: Partly cloudy. Low in the upper 30s, high in the upper 50s.
