Maskaev Defeats Hawkins In First Boxing Night At Red Square

Moscow, Russia -- (Sports Network) - Former WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev won a unanimous decision over American journeyman Robert Hawkins at the first boxing show in Russia's legendary Red Square.Coming back after a devastating knockout loss to Samuel Peter, Maskaev won after he received scores of 100-92, 100-90 and 100-90 from the three Russian judges. With the win, Maskaev moves to 35-6 with 26 knockouts while Hawkins drops to 23-12 with seven knockouts.
