Mijares Scores TKO Of Sasakul To Retain Super Flyweight Crown

Monterrey, Mexico -- (Sports Network) - It didn't take long for Cristian Mijares to retain his WBC and WBA super flyweight titles over veteran Chatchai Sasakul, as the reigning champ came away with a third-round TKO victory.Mijares (36-3-2) extended his win streak to 30 consecutive fights, as the 26- year-old has not lost since July 2002 and is 9-0 in interim or full-fledged world title bouts. The fight was stopped at the 1:20 mark of the third round as the 38-year-old Sasakul (64-4), in first fight in 2008, could no longer go on.
