24-year-old driver killed in crash on downtown connector, police say

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of one person.

Authorities said on Sunday at 4:49 a.m., officers received reports of a crash involving one car on Interstate 75 northbound and Interstate 85 northbound.

When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old driver killed in the crash.

The investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling north on I-75 when it left the roadway and hit a wall under the I-85 overpass.

The identity of the driver has not been released.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.

No other injuries were reported.
